In her green race to plant 200,000 trees, Rwandan renowned singer Bwiza Emerence, along with the Rwanda Scouts Association and the administration of Bugesera District, planted four thousand saplings in Rilima Sector, Bugesera District.
Announcing the special community work that took place on Saturday, 23 November, the ‘Best Friend’ heat maker said, ‘Plant a tree at home and protect this green world.’
Bwiza’s ‘Tree at Home’ project aims to plant 200,000 trees “to protect the environment and promote good nutrition in families, starting in her home district, Bugesera.
After this event, Bwiza told IGIHE that she “thanks the partners, including the Rwanda Scouts Association, and the Bugesera District administration” for the successful event.
Bwiza added that this work will continue in other sectors as she’s racing to 200, 000 trees, within one year. It is learned she focuses on the fruit trees to improve nutrition, along with preserving the environment.
The Mayor of Bugesera District, Mutabazi Richard, thanked participants; including the Girl Scouts for the involvement in the initiative.
